Sports Massage

30 minutes: $45
60 minutes: $75
90 minutes: $105

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function. I am certified in many modalities which can be incorporated into a Sports Massage designed to accomplish your specific goals including Active Assistive Stretching, SEEM technique, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy. Frequent massage packages are offered and can be an excellent choice for those athletes training for a specific event or with specific long range goals in mind.

Active Isolated Stretching

30 minutes: $45
60 minutes: $75
90 minutes: $105

Developed by Aaron Mattes, Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is a dynamic system for improving your flexibility and overall well-being. As you probably already know, stretching your muscles not only reduces your chance of injury, but also strengthens your tendons and improves your circulation. This form of massage can be requested on it's own or added a Basic Massage,  Sports Massage or Deep Tissue Massage for increased flexibility and maintenance of the bodies balance and symmetry.

Deep Tissue Massage

30 minutes: $55
60 minutes: $85
90 minutes: $115

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Myofascial Release

30 minutes: $45
60 minutes: $75
90 minutes: $105

Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and reballence the entire body. It does this by using massage techniques to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. Direct myofascial release is sometimes known as deep tissue work. Indirect release applies light pressure and gently stretches the fascia; this allows for increased blood circulation and relief from pain. Myofascial Release is often used by professional and committed athletes to shorten recovery time between workouts as well as to assist in the flexibility and symmetry of the muscular system. Myofacial release can also be incorporated in rehabilitation regimens recommended by Chiropractors and Physical Therapists.

Thai Massage

90 minutes: $110

Thai massage is more energizing and rigorous than most other forms of massage therapy. It's also called Thai Yoga massage, because I use my hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like postures and stretches. My clients say Thai massage is like doing yoga without doing any of the work.  Though some of the stretches can be added to a more traditional massage, Thai Yoga Massage is done on a yoga or floor mat. No oil is applied, so you are fully dressed during the session. A single Thai massage session will help you release stress and relieve pain, and help you function more effectively at work and home. Please wear comfortable stretchable clothing to your session.

Hot Stone Therapy

90 minutes: $110

Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. Hot Stones will be combined with traditional Swedish Massage and/or Myofascial Release to create a balanced massage which will address the clients specific goals. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.

Swedish Massage

30 minutes: $45
60 minutes: $75
90 minutes: $105

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility. This is the type of massage to choose if you have never had a massage before or you are unsure of what type of massage would be best for you. Your Swedish massage wil be tailored, as much as possible, to accomplish the specific goals you have set for the session.
